What is Heritage Academy

Heritage Academy is a unique urban Christian school committed to making a quality Christian education available to children from racially, ethnically, socially and economically diverse families.  Tuition is often the number one hurdle for a family to overcome in order to send their child to a private school. Heritage Academy has removed that obstacle by charging tuition based on income.  Families from across the economic spectrum send their children to Heritage.   We have aspiring doctors, teachers and dancers, wives and husbands, growing up into the image of Christ.

Following a year and a half of planning and fund-raising, the original five-member Board of Directors opened Heritage Academy in 2001 with 10 kindergarten students. Seven years later there are 100 students in kindergarten through 7th grade.
