Is Heritage Academy accredited?
Yes, we are accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission. We are a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

What grades do you offer?
Kindergarten through eighth grade. A child must be 5 years old by September 1 to enter kindergarten.

What curriculum do you use?
In Elementary

  • Harcourt Trophies for reading
  • Bob Jones University Press for grammar and writing
  • Singapore Math in kindergarten to third grade
  • Saxon Math in fourth and fifth grade
  • Harcourt in Social Studies and Science
  • Positive Action for Christ

In Middle School

  • Elements of Literature by HRW
  • Bob Jones University Press for grammar and writing
  • Saxon Middle School math
  • Glencoe in Social Studies and Science

Do you offer co-curricular subjects?
We offer a wide variety of  co-curricular subjects, which vary by grade level.  These change from year to year, but have included computer, library, art, oil painting, music, chorus, dance, bridge, Latin and Suzuki violin.

Do you have a lunch program?
Yes. Contact the school for current price information.

Do you provide transportation to and from school?
No. Parents are responsible for transportation.

What is your average class size?
Enrollment is limited to 18 students per class.

Do you have before school care?
No. That can be arranged through The Family Y.

Do you have after school care?
No. But we work with several affordable programs in the area.

Do you offer any sports?
Our sports program began in 2008 with boy’s basketball.

Are you affiliated with any church or denomination?
No. Our teachers and families attend many different churches. Our Statement of Faith represents the basic tenets of the Christian faith. We encourage the unity of believers in Christ.

Do you have to be a Christian to attend Heritage?
No.

Are all of your teachers Christians?
Yes. In order to teach at Heritage Academy, the teacher must have a testimony of faith in Christ for salvation and be an active member of a Christian church.

Do you offer financial aid?
Yes. Ninety-nine percent of our students receive scholarships to attend Heritage. See the financial aid application.

Is there a uniform policy?
Yes. All students must where a uniform.

When can I apply for admission?
Applications are available January 15 for the next school year. Open enrollment begins March 1. Prior to that time, currently enrolled students have priority. Applications are available by calling the school or sending a request.
